May is Mental Health Awareness Month
Let’s talk about what that means when you’re trying to conceive.
For many, May is a month to highlight the importance of mental health—but for those of us walking through infertility, it’s more than a campaign. It’s deeply personal.
The TTC journey can be overwhelming. The physical strain, emotional rollercoaster, and the silence society often imposes make it harder than most people realize. That’s why this month, I’m creating space to talk about the mental health impact of infertility.
From setting boundaries to dealing with insensitive comments, managing grief, and finding support—it’s okay to protect your peace.
On my Instagram, I’ll be sharing 12 powerful reminders and tips throughout the month to help you cope, heal, and stay grounded as you navigate this path. You are not alone.
Here’s a peek at some of what we’ll be covering:
- Creating boundaries with friends and family
- Dealing with triggering announcements and holidays
- Supporting your partner and checking in with yourself
- Coping with loss and navigating grief
- Reframing “just relax” and other harmful advice
- Building your mental health toolkit while TTC
If this journey has left you feeling unseen, I want you to know—I see you. I’ve been there. And I created this platform for us.
Take what you need this month. Rest when you must. Speak up when you’re ready.
With love and light,
Ola
